Our Approach
GHEM (which stands for Gentle Healing Energy Manipulation) provides a unique approach to massage by incorporating energy manipulation and deep tissue techniques to intuitively connect with the body. This process grounds, heals, and uplifts an individual by coaxing the body to remove tension, stress, and negative influences at its own pace.
This style has become highly effective in gently releasing the tensions stored throughout the body by removing all types of negative influences and blockages.
After a GHEM massage, you feel rejuvenated, energized and ready for the world. Flexibility and range of motion noticeably increase with as little as one session.
Sheryl Michels, LMT
Sheryl Michels was born and raised in the Seattle area. Since a very young age she was able to see and experience energy in ways much different from the average person. Naturally empathic, she has always had a deep understanding of others and the negative effects of energy on the body and surrounding environments.
She developed her own style of massage and energy work after suffering from health issues and negative influences in her own life. The tuning point was when she was confronted with the fact that a double hip replacement was inevitable. This was when she started pursuing alternative avenues since hip replacement was not something she was crazy about and could feel it in her gut that she would be in that 1% that would reject the hip. She started seeing a Naturopath that changed her life. For the first time, she felt like she was making progress with her health issues. This is what eventually led her to leave her life-long career in the mortgage industry to pursue a metaphysical certification and enroll in massage school. After graduating and obtaining her Massage Therapist license in 2019, she officially began her journey to help others like herself.
In her spare time, she continues her lifelong desire for knowledge and health by being the best massage therapist she can possibly be by studying, reading, and taking classes covering massage techniques, anatomy, alternative medicine, etc.
Sheryl is a self proclaimed nerd, loves to read, hang out with her 3 cats, and learn new things.
